Spanish Fashion House Loewe Presents SS16 Collection at Paris Fashion Week.
There were a sea of innovative focal points to admire during Loewe’s Spring/Summer 2016 collection. You could say that designer Jonathan Anderson has somewhat mastered the technique of not overwhelming the viewer’s eyes. From statement bags dancing alongside bold jewelry- to the plastic wrap trousers, Anderson continues to push the envelop further keeping us all at the very edge of our seats.
The collection was rather spacey with an 80’s touch exaggerated in the composition of each look: big, chunky necklaces, over-sized jackets and tunics cinched at the waists accompanied by one large earring, a signature 80s look. Anderson also made interesting use of leather and PVC. Instead of going for the typical moto leather jacket or coat, Anderson decided to have a little fun, experimenting with the alternative fabrics, as if it served as a second layer of skin on the body. “I’m interested in leather techniques and innovation,” Anderson said backstage, ” I want to work with that, and to sharpen the edge.”
