Lady Gaga Will Headline Coachella Following Beyonce Pregnancy Induced Exit
It’s official, Lady Gaga is headlining performer of Coachella 2017. However, the good news doesn’t come without a bit of bad news first. Gaga replaces a highly anticipated Beyoncé showing, following the entertainer’s exit due to her pregnancy. It’s certainly been a whirlwind year for Beyonce fans. Twitter and the internet went wild upon Bey’s announcement of baby number 2. We soon learned, that 2 actually meant twins. Then, there was the Grammys and the whole Adele winning artist of the year scene and speech. Now, no Beyonce at Coachella. On the other hand, Gaga fans are getting more than a fair share of performances. Following the release of Joanne (2016), Lady Gaga went on tour, performed at the Super Bowl and then appeared alongside Metallica at the Grammys.
However, it turns out that Gaga may not have been the first choice of the three-day event in Indio, California music festival. Rumors are circulating that Coachella requested Adele, Rihanna, Justin Timberlake, and Nine Inch Nails before enlisting the Million Reasons singer. In any extent, Lady Gaga seems to be having one of the best years of her career. With 117.5 million viewers watching around the world, Lady Gaga is undoubtedly the biggest performer of 2017- and we’re just getting started.
