Rodolfo Paglialunga Exits Jil Sander as Creative Director

Rodolfo Paglialunga Leaves Jil Sander After Only three Years

Fashion brands have certainly seen their fair share of departures as of late. However, it turns out that Riccardo Tisic’s recent abrupt exist from Givenchy won’t be the only changeup this season. Designer Rodolfo Paglialunga leaves Jil Sander and officially joins the growing list of the fashion idustry’s dearly departed. Paglialunga’s exit isn’t nearly as shocking as some others. He just joined the brand in 2014 and barely had time to adjust. Perhaps that’s just the problem. During his three year stint, he never managed to elevate the brand like his predecessor Raf Simons. Those are certainly quite large shoes to fill. His recent Jil Sander collection in Milan will be his last. With a resume including a head designer position at Prada and design director role at Vionnet, he surely won’t be away long. It doesn’t seem that Raf Simons is in a rush to replace the designer, either. As of now, there’s no official indication of who will claim the title. There are certainly a few talented designers watching close by. Now there’s three major fashion brand positions up for grabs. Roberto Cavalli, Givenchy, and now Jil Sander.
