Serena Williams Bikini Body is Insanity, Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue 2017
Serena Williams is having quite the year. Fresh from a record-breaking 23rd grand slam win in Australia, we say hello to the Serena Williams bikini body in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue 2017. Lensed by photographer, Emmanuelle Hauguel, the world no.1 tennis player shows us that even at 35 years-old, the Serena Williams body offers some major #bodygoals. For the occasion, William’s travels to the British isles of Turks and Caicos offering a confident series of sultry photos. Serena joins reigning cover star Kate Upton in the issue.
However, this isn’t Serena Williams first Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue appearance. The tennis icon has fronted countless SI covers including a prior spread in the 2003 Swimsuit issue. Though it’s been sometime since she unleashed the Serena Williams bikini body for the famous issue, she’s found other outlets. As of late Serena William’s body can found dancing alongside Beyonce in her video for Sorry as well as the 2016 Pirelli Calendar.
Serena also shares a positive message with women about body image. “I want people to come away with the fact that it’s okay to be comfortable in your body,” she states. Serena William’s body has long been subject to public scrutiny over being too muscular. “It’s okay to look strong and to be sexy and to be a woman and to be unbreakable. All of those things. I really want to have that influence for people out there that have my body type. I want them to be like, ‘I look good too.’ That’s what I’m hoping for.”
