Nick Graham Fall Winter 2017-2018 is Inspired by Real Astronaut, Buzz Aldrin.
Menswear designer, Nick Graham travels far out for his eponymous Nick Graham Fall Winter 2017-2018 collection, literally. The designer takes inspiration from the idea of space travel and even managed to get 84 year-old astronaut, Buzz Aldrin to walk in his fashion week show. As if that wasn’t enough Science overload, Bill Nye the science guy happens to stop by too for a runway appearance. Good times, right?
Is Bill Nye more of a “Blue Steel” or “Magnum” type of guy? Hmm definitely “Blue Steel”.
No questions asked, 84-year old Astronaut Buzz Aldrin definitely has the “Le Tigre“, pose mastered.
For the collection, Graham launches a legion of dapper space travelers down the runway. Primarily, the designer focuses on sleek men’s suiting. Utilizing a color palette of silver metallics, deep blues, reds, and midnight black, Graham ties the concept together. Overall the collection was an adventurous step for Graham. The designer’s comfort zone usually consists of well tailored suiting stylish men’s essentials. This latest showing prompts us to suspect that maybe Graham has another side to his aesthetic- something much more alien.
