Color, Texture, and subtle opulence- all forces moved swiftly across the runways of New York Fashion Week Day 5. Designers traveled back in time to the 90s and what a nostalgic fete it was. Plush fabrics and rich jewel tones danced to the beat of techno-grunge soundtracks with attitude to match.
Fashion Renaissance brands like Zac Posen and 3.1. Phillip Lim offered a lineup of reworked classic wardrobe pieces. A trench coat became a visual sea of scarlet euphoria at Zac Posen while a confident mix of checks and masculine tones create a relaxed rock and roll sensibility.

Meanwhile, Classicist including Dennis Basso and Donna Karan answered with an equally appealing reply. Amongst the usual line up of ‘well to do’ statements including furs, evening wear, and contoured blazers we found a slightly sleeker more daring aesthetic. A powder grey jacket and trouser is adorned with a thrilling fur at Dennis Basso offering a newfound sensibility. Razor sharps silhouettes and ultra luxe styling left us wide eyed at Donna Karan presenting a collection of completely wearable pieces.
