Menswear Brands Isaora and Siki Im Team Up for a Men’s Activewear Collaboration.
Athleisure is a trend that the fashion world has adopted in various ways the past few season. With the increase in fashionable activewear as well as higher end fashion inspired by active wear collection, the trend of sportif chic is as hot as ever.
While Women’s Collections seem to be earning high marks, Men’s brands are somewhat staggering behind, clinging to predictable, go to t-shirt and gym shorts ensembles. Fortunately fashion house, Isaora, has been working to ensure that this is no longer the case. Teaming up with progressive Menswear designer Siki Im,  their latest high-performance active wear  collection is aimed at bridging the gap.
” There’s been a big shift in the way health and fitness have become an integral part of a modern lifestyle. It’s more of a cultural conversation than ever before and more connected to fashion than it has ever been.” Ricky Hendry, Isaora’s Creative Direction stated. “It’s the realization that your workout can be an extension of personal style rather than an exception.”
“Ricky and I both believe that health and casual wear have become integrated for the modern man.” Im also added.
Their collaboration line is already available for pre-order and will be available at Barney’s New York and Lane Crawford as soon as early August. Specs of the collection include water resistant jackets, reversible tees, low-rise leggings equip with iPhone 6 -size pockets and light weigh fabric around the knees and buttocks for comfort and breathability.
Men’s active wear is undergoing a workout of it own. Let’s see if men, like their female counterparts, are quick, and willing, to hop onto this trend.
