Louis Vuitton Resort 2017: Nicolas Ghesquire presents Latest Louis Vuitton Collection in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
A dismantled scuba suit parade opened Louis Vuttion’s Resort 2017 collection followed by sporty-street pieces that came from Nicholas Ghesquiere’s Olympics inspiration. It seems that women these days are more inclined towards convenience, pleasure, and comfort without loosing the chic; and Louis Vuitton’s designer knows exactly what to create for the new generation of hip youngsters who are predisposed to sportswear and street style.
With a guest list of over 514, Ghesquiere transported the youthful energy of the international fashion scene to the bustling island metropolis of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. New era fashion influencers including Zendaya and Jaeden Smith were amongst the sea of young invitees who flew into Rio to get a dose of LV euphoria. Reminiscent of a 90s hip-hop video, the collection is the sportiest one yet. Jogging pants, parkas, dresses and shorts all had a deconstructed feeling– whether it was cutouts or asymmetry, there was an elevated modern touch to the garments that spoke young, fresh, and casual motion with every step. Even the Louis Vuitton army gracing the catwalk showcased a little extra bounce and ease as they ditched the heels, and opted for flat sandals, aligning with the breezy nonchalance of the collection.
