Theory Presents its SS16 Collection at New York Fashion Week: Mens SS16.
Staged atop of Theory’s Gansevoort Street rooftop- buyers, editors, and fashion socialites alike were able to catch a breath of fresh air and mingle with drinks and a soothing DJ at Theory’s spring summer 2016 presentation.
Models stood on platforms at different levels, in front of a killer view of lower Manhattan, with the breeze giving life to their hair and clothes, but also parting the thick clouds that anticipated another down pour like earlier in the afternoon.
Androgyny was the motif of the collection, but instead of men in floral printed suits and skirts as seen across Europe, Theory’s approach was dressing the male and female models in suits that complimented both genders. It was almost as if Ben Stubbington came up with this collection in his sleep; it was seamless and made a lot more sense when androgyny comes to mind, rather than men wearing baby doll dresses.
Hopefully Theory makes these garments in not only full mean’s size runs, but also women’s because women would delightfully obtain these pieces for their wardrobes.
