Cynthia Rowley Fall/Winter 2017-2018 Collection, New York Fashion Week
Cynthia Rowley Fall Winter 2017-2018 Collection, New York Fashion Week.
Cynthia Rowley seems to be much more of a brand than a designer these days. I mean that as a compliment. With a thriving home collection and growing fitness line, the Cynthia Rowley name has transcended fashion. Often times when business meets fashion in such a manner, we see a loss of zeal from the designer. However, for the Cynthia Rowley Fall Winter 2017 collection, Rowley reminds us rather emphatically that she’s still present. The collection was surprising in its aesthetic. Seemingly influenced by the simple, feminine tailoring of fashion houses like Celine, the designer offers an eclectic selection of focused pieces. The lineup ranged from oversized knit tops and tiered floor, length skirts to crop-tops and sheer, flirty dresses. There was a certain French flair in the air. Perhaps it was the white and black striped sweater paired with shimmery high-waisted, bell bottoms that took us in that direction.
In the end, Cynthia Rowley collection offers a sense of wanderlust. A rather perfect description for the woman behind the brand. It turns out that Rowley may have even more in store as she heads off to China for a runway show next week.
