Comme des Garçons x NikeLab Air VaporMax
NikeLab adds to the trending list of high-fashion/streetwear collaborations officially releasing the Comme des Garçons x NikeLab Air VaporMax. Nike first launched its Air Vapormax line back in March 2016. The shoe was an update to the original Air Max released in 1987. After months of waiting, fans everywhere finally get an update as the CDG and Nike Air Vapormax drops just in time for Spring.
The COMME des GARÇONS x NikeLab Air VaporMax release comes only a day after the surprise launch of the COMME des GARÇONS x NikeLab Dunk High “Clear”. However, there seems to be no conflict of opinion for fans. First teased back in October, the CDG Air Vapormax makes its debut right after New York Mens Fashion Week and at the start of NYFW collection season.
Building on the 30-year legacy of the Nike Airmax, the CDG Nike Air Vapormax offers a reimagined, responsive design. Combining the air bubbles and exterior layers, this newest model attaches the whole unit to the flyknit body. It’s apparent that the collab is influenced by the Japanese streetwear aesthetic of the Comme des Garçons brand. The result is a minimal, sleek and fashion-forward slip-on sneaker. It looks like it feels amazing, too. Next up on the NikeLab high-fashion release is the highly anticipated NikeLab Dunk Lux Chukka RT.
