Cara Delevingne teams up with Rihanna for Puma Campaign
Puma is making one heck of a brand resurgence. Counting lucrative partnerships with key influencers like Kylie Jenner and sitting Creative Director Rihanna, the brand’s deck is stacked. The Puma strategy is straight forward and so far very effective. Leading the way in the brand’s latest power play is supermodel and actress Cara Delevingne. Puma revealed Monday that the starlet would front its “Do You” women’s campaign, which “aims to inspire confidence in women everywhere.”
Bad Girl RiRi even found time to put her directorial skills to task, serving as the campaign’s creative director. The duo deliver a candid, authentic feeling series of images filled with rebellious energy and tenacity. Delevingne looks as toned as ever, likely due to her upcoming sci-fi action film, “Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets.”
The Puma “do you” campaign officially launches later this month and will be featured in advertisements and on location in Puma stores worldwide. Delevingne shares her enthusiasm about the campaign and upcoming launch. To “DO YOU” is to take ownership of yourself and finding the power within that ownership is a very powerful statement, says Cara. It’s about accepting who you are, no matter your faults. “DO YOU” is about finding your truth and sticking to it. I think it’s so special because it means something.
The message is personal to Delevingne considering the media’s interest in her dating life and sexuality. Recently the model put all rumors to rest announcing that she was indeed bisexual and dating women. The announcement comes after her very public relationship with ex-One Direction frontman Harry Styles.
