Cara Delevingne x Rimmel London: Former Supermodel Cara Delevingne was just Announced as the Newest Brand Ambassador of Cosmetics Brand Rimmel London.
Cara Delevingne shocked the fashion world as she announced her retirement from modeling last year and many of us were left in pure disbelief. Luckily, Cara didn’t keep us waiting for long as we soon heard news that the influential model would appear in Karl Lagerfeld’s SS16 eyewear campaign for Chanel alongside a highly publicized big screen debut in, Paper Towns. The ex-model’s latest news has us speculating her idea of retirement once again, as she’s revealed as the newest face of international cosmetics brand, Rimmel London.
It appears that Delevingne may have required a little coaxing and the Rimmel brand was up for the task. “I think it’s so rare for a beauty brand to find such a natural face as an ambassador,” Businelli told WWD. “We are very fortunate to have Kate Moss but Cara is also a fantastic fit. We pick people who don’t need any customization and I think that is one of the key points. Cara Delevingne is a true British woman and she has true British style – a classic beauty and she also has this imitable attitude. She has had a very fast rise to stardom, it’s been meteoric and she is extremely compelling and loved by the younger generation, which is a key, core target for the brand.”
Cara seems to be equally excited about the project as she shares, “I’m honoured to be working with Rimmel. It’s the first make-up brand I was introduced to as a teenager. I’m a London girl through and through and Rimmel truly captures and represents the city’s edgy, cosmopolitan beauty styles.”
