Gucci SS16: Gucci Releases a Vibrant SS16 Ad Campaign Compliments of a Giant Peacock.
The Gucci SS16 ad campaign takes the term “peacocking” to an entirely new level as we’re offered a vibrant series filled with excitement, texture, and actual peacocks (we weren’t kidding).
Gucci’s new Creative Director, Alessandro Michele, has been shaking things up at the Italian fashion and so far we must admit that our interest is definitely piqued. Bringing an eclectic aesthetic inspired by fashion motifs of the past while keeping one eye on the fashion ingenuities of the future, Michele has invigorated the brand with a unique sensibility that continues to propel the iconic fashion house into the forefront of innovation.
Photographed by Glen Luchford and starring models Anton Toftgard, Arnis Cielava, Elizabeth Moore, Hugo Goldhoorn, Mia Gruenwald, Nicole Atieno, Peyton Knight, and Polina Oganicheva, the young cast serve up some serious 70s vibes as they explore city streets, rooftops, corridors, and bathrooms sharing hidden moments along the way.
Shot against the iconic backdrop of Berlin, the campaign is saturated with glimpses of architecture and design creating a timeless parallel between the setting and the the unique sensibilities of the collection itself.
