Grace Coddington, Bella Hadid, Kate Moss, Frank Ocean, Young Thug, and More Star in Epic Calvin Klein FW16 Fashion Campaign.
The Calvin Klein brand has been utilizing a more is more approach lately, particularly in casting. From undressing Kendall Jenner and Justin Beiber in its #MyCalvins Underwear campaign to making Vine Star Cameron Dallas a frontman in its SS16 Calvin Klein Jeans campaign, the iconic brand is holding fast to its youthful, provocative aesthetic. Following a head turning SS16 Global campaign featuring cross-genre personalities like Kendall Jenner, Justin Bieber, FKA twigs, Fetty Wap, and Kendrick Lamar, the brand’s FW16 campaign pushes the editorial shock factor further. Fronting the headline making FW16 campaign is long time Vogue Creative Director Grace Coddington, rising model Bella Hadid, Vine star turned model Cameron Dallas, and entertainers Frank Ocean and Young Thug. This is seriously one epic fashion campaign.
First teased on the Calvin Klein official Snapchat account earlier this year, the final Calvin Klein Fall 2016 global campaign is here and it’s not at all what we expected. We knew there would be big names and the obligatory social media super influencers. We didn’t expect that they would be all featured in one jaw dropping campaign. The diverse cast of Calvin Klein’s Fall Winter 2016 Campaign include Grace Coddington, Bella Hadid, Kate Moss, Anna Ewers, Young Thug, Zoe Kravitz Presley Walker Gerber, Roos Abels, Sonoya Mizuno, G.E.M., Mo’ne Davis, Yung Beef, Aomi Muyock Antoine-Olivier Pilon, Cuba Tornado Scott, Selah Marley, Kacy Hill, Keith Ape, Mark MacEachen, Tommy Genesis, Yung Lean, and a group of street cast models.
The Calvin Klein FW16 campaign is an immersive media experience. Along with the super sleek “I ___ in My Calvins” themed imagery, the brand also presents over 50 personalized video interviews featuring some very candid moments with the cast. Photographed and directed by Tyrone Lebon, the editorial direction is raw and uncensored. Straying away from the usual super sexy imagery that the brand is known for, the campaign attempts to authentically tap into the culture of now. The brand doesn’t completely abandon its minimal styling approach. A few of the campaign’s most memorable moments feature Bella Hadid topless, Anna Ewers submerged in a swimming pool, and Zoe Kravitz dressed in nothing but Calvin Klein underwear in the back of a dimly lit car.
Officially released on Wednesday July 6, via the Calvin Klein site all content is available for the next 24 hours. Viewers can browse through the campaigns exclusive video content and see all the campaign imagery (over 90 images) in one place.
