Lanvin Mens Fall 2017 Ignores Branding and Focuses on the Consumer

Lanvin Mens Fall Winter 2017-2018 Collection, Paris

Taking over an established fashion house like Lanvin is no easy task. However, designer Lucas Ossendrijver, already has plenty of ideas on the brand’s future. Instead of focusing on creating lavish designs and new concepts, the new designer has opted to focus more closely on what the consumer actually wants. For the Lanvin Mens Fall Winter 2017-2018 collection, he did just that. The collection was minimal, but not in your usual black, white, and super linear motif. In contrast, it was completely void of the usual creative theatrics. There weren’t even any logos or dreamy European references. The designer instead put his energy into “shape, construction and cut” crafting a collection of worn-in feeling basics that any guy could add to his wardrobe.
