Campaigns: Moschino SS16 Ad Campaign

Moschino SS16: Moschino Releases A Sizzling SS16 Ad Campaign.

It’s big, bold, and full of energy- it’s Moschino. Combine that with the animated genius of wonder kid Jeremy Scott and we truly have magic. The Italian fashion house releases its latest ad campaign and from what we see, we’ll count this as another certified editorial masterpiece, signed Jeremy Scott.

Photographed by Steven Meisel, starring top models Joan Smalls, Lexi Boling, Fei Fei Sun, and Maartje Verhoef the brand’s latest campaign takes us on a vibrant journey filled with over saturated colors, plumes of feathers, plush texture, and a few of Scott’s favorite childhood cartoon characters of course. Part couture and part vintage dress up, the Moschino SS16 collection offers a nonstop array of eclectic pieces. From graffiti inspired skirts to city traffic sign inspired motifs, Scott takes us on a nonstop ride that has us on the edge of our seats throughout.

The backdrop is like something out of some modern artist’s studio; geometric and abstract. We take a closer look and the blur becomes a bit clearer. Huge rotating washing buffers, like the type you see in drive through carwashes lend a colorful palette of red, yellow, blue, and green while a layered arrayed of old street signs, vintage chairs, and accessories make up pause and question exactly what we’re looking at. This is the true genius of Jeremy Scott; nothing is ever quite as it seems.
