Rising model Bella Hadid is the Star of the JW Anderson Fall Winter 2016 Fashion Campaign.
Bella Hadid proves no slowdown in her momentum, as she has recently been casted as the star of J.W. Anderson’s Fall 2016 campaign. Aside from being named the new face of Dior, landing a cover with Vogue China and Vogue Japan, the model was also recruited for Givenchy’s Fall 2016 campaign.
Much talk surrounds the JW Anderson Fall Winter 2016 campaign, as it is the first time the brand has opted for  a prominent model. In the past the brand has mostly swayed toward under the radar models, Jonathan Anderson told Dazed magazine that he wanted a beautiful girl with a strong personality, and that when Hadid’s name came up in deliberation it was decided she was to be the perfect fit.
Last season’s campaign presented itself as the actual size of a postage stamp, in great contrast to this season’s full-page campaign. The campaign was photographed by Jamie Hawkesworth and styled by Benjamin Bruno, both long time collaborators with the brand J.W. Anderson. Lee Valley Region Park in the UK functioned as the backdrop to the photographed ads. Hadid is dressed in a ruffle hemmed yellow and blue J.W. Anderson collection dress. The model is pictured alongside a black and white photograph of a young boy accompanied by a puppet.
The presence of Hadid in J.W. Anderson’s fall campaign leads great speculation and curiosity as to whether or not the model will walk Anderson’s show in London, this upcoming season. Anderson has already created quite the buzz this year. With the recent release of AWGE, a collaborative capsule collection with rapper and style influencer A$AP Rocky, the visionary designer is making power moves. Dividing his creativity between his eponymous brand and Loewe, even more exciting news may be on the horizon. It’s speculated that he’ll soon take the spot as creative director of Louis Vuitton; a seat once ruled by Nicolas Ghesquière.
