Alberta Ferretti Debuts her Fall 2015 Couture Collection in a 19th Century Mansion in Paris.
Earlier this year, Alberta Ferretti relocated her Paris office into a grand 19th century mansion, which delightfully complimented the mood for her Haute Couture presentation. Ferretti is often known to take direct inspiration from her travels  and this time around, she didn’t have to travel far.
The mansion was once owned by the Rothschild family and is abundant posh wall furnishings and gilded moldings with design patterns that vary from room to room. All of which made for intricate detailing on one of the silk gowns in a rich jade and another in gold, the bodices perfectly capturing the details and movements of the gilded molding, flattering  feminine the contours of the silhouette. Each gown in the collection told a story of a modern day, Fairy tale as Romantic , Bohemian gowns filled the room with childhood fascination and mature lustful longings. In Feretti’s own words , her customer wants the elegance of haute couture, while being slightly contemporary as ready to wear. We think Feretti met her customer’s expectations.
